Monica Nicolaides is a contemporary choreographer and movement director, based in London.
Her choreographic portfolio includes commissions from Homs Arthaus, Hallidonto, British Medical Association, Marylebone Ballet school,Third Row Dance Company and University of Cumbria. She was Movement Director for Sea-Change's 'The Tempest' and Revival Director of Ryedale Opera Festival "La Finta Giardiniera".
Monica is the Artistic Director of MonixArts, a contemporary dance company based in London. MonixArts uses contemporary dance to create productions focusing on human behaviour and relationships in current society. The company's works were featured on BBC Persia, performed at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Offbeat Festival, The Place, The Blue Elephant Theatre, Drunken Chorus and Edinburgh Zoo. These works received support by Arts Council England, IdeasTap Innovators Fund, Candoco, Clarence Mews Studios, bbodance, Hiive.
Performing credits include: mapdance, Universal Studios, BBC, LCP Dance Theatre, Carpe Diem Dance, Valentine Pictures, London 2012 Olympic Ceremony, BSkyB, Warner Bros, Dance Digital, The V&A museum, Birmingham Royal Ballet, I=WE, The Barbican amongst others.
